I have been a practicing Doctor of Chiropractic since 1985 in North Miami Beach, Florida. I can offer you a wealth of information on chiropractic care and work with you to design a plan that fits your needs.
I was always interested in the medical profession. During my four years at Brandeis University I worked in hospitals, emergency rooms, operating rooms and even nursing homes in order to get a true flavor of the medical profession. My clinical experience opened my eyes to various inequities of the medical approach to health and illness. Firstly, I was very bothered by the medical model’s impersonal style of treating patients as diseases rather than people who were sick. Secondly, and most importantly I saw the medical doctors time and time again treat the symptoms of their patients, prescribe drugs, elicit temporary relief only to have these symptoms return again a little further down the road.
In my last year of college, in the midst of my uncertainty, an advisor at Brandeis University recommended that I research chiropractic as an alternative health care field. After weeks of visits to nearby chiropractic offices and countless discussions and research, I realized my advisor gave me a true gift and pointed me in the right direction. I graduated Brandeis University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology and immediately enrolled in Life Chiropractic College were I enjoyed 4 years of intensive clinical and sub clinical experience in the art, science and philosophy of chiropractic.
For the pasts 30 years I have been practicing at my office, Biscayne Chiropractic Center in North Miami Beach offering patients quality chiropractic care.
